Third-year quarterback Stetson Bennett IV will start the preseason opener for the second-straight season. After missing the entirety of his rookie year, Bennett had an up-and-down performance in two preseason games last year. He feels much more confident operating the offense ahead of this season, however, and McVay has noticed considerable improvement.

“(I have) more confidence in what my guys are going to do, what I’m going to do, the way the offense is run,” Bennett said.
