Did Tiffany Haddish welcome a baby?
The actress, 45, sparked comments after she shared a joint photo on her Instagram alongside her longtime friend, Hollywood Unlocked‘s Jason Lee, in which the two posed with a baby and a stroller.
In the photo, Haddish could be seen carrying a little one, who wore a blue headband and tiny Nikes. Her friend Lee was also pictured, placing a hand on a blue stroller in the photo and smiling alongside Haddish. “Cats out of the bag ❤️,” the pair wrote in their joint caption.
Reps for both the actress and Lee have not responded to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In the comments on her Instagram, fans and friends seemed confused as to whether Haddish actually welcomed a baby or not. The comedian did not post any further on her Instagram or her Instagram Stories, and didn’t reply to comments.
“What does this mean,” actress Tasha Smith asked. “What is the cat because I just see you and tiff with someone baby,” another person wrote.
“Yall actually did ittttt😍😍 I remember it being talked about,” a third said, referencing the previous times when Haddish and Lee spoke about welcoming a baby together.
In a November 2024 episode of Lee’s podcast Hollywood Unlocked, the two said they’d be open to having a baby together as friends.
“You did promise me you would give me a kid. So let me ask you a question. So I had Cardi B here, she’s already said she’ll be my kid’s godmother. You said you would give me a kid. Are you serious about that?” Lee, who is gay, asked.
“Yeah. I wanted to talk to you about the cost of…because I said I wanted to do it the old fashioned way. You said no. So I want to talk to you about the cost of [having a baby],” Haddish said.
In the past, Haddish has been open about wanting to adopt a baby, telling E!’s Daily Pop in 2022 that a trip to Africa reinforced her desire to grow her family in that way.
“I just went to Africa. I was just in Eritrea, and people were trying to give me their kids,” the actress said. “I was like, ‘Hold up now, I gotta get the paperwork right now. I can’t just be taking kids with me.’ “
When asked if she still planned on adopting, Haddish — who previously opened up about taking such steps to expand her family — said, “Not right now, but maybe at the end of the year, beginning of next year.”
She first spoke about adoption in 2021, telling E!’s Daily Pop that she’d enrolled in parenting classes and explained why she didn’t want to explore surrogacy.
“I’m taking parenting classes now to adopt,” she shared. “I’m looking at, you know, 5 and up — really like 7. I want them to be able to know how to use the restroom on their own and talk. I want them to know that I put in the work and I wanted them.”
“I don’t wanna pay no body to carry my baby neither, ’cause then I have to go through a process of giving myself injections and all that stuff,” the comedian said. “And I already gave up— here goes something everybody don’t know, I’m gonna tell you: When I was 21 I was really hard up for some money and I gave up a bunch of eggs.”
“So who knows,” she added, “I might got some kids out here in these streets. I doubt it, though, because I never got the bonus. Maybe somewhere though, in cryo somewhere!”
