SummerSlam weekend is officially underway. The first two-night SummerSlam began on Saturday with Seth Rollins’ shocking Money in the Bank cash-in to become world heavyweight champion. It’s now on to Night 2, headlined by the street fight between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for Cena’s undisputed WWE Championship.
All six matches on Sunday’s card are for championships. On the women’s side of things, Naomi will defend the women’s world championship against Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley, while Becky Lynch will put the women’s intercontinental championship against Lyra Valkyria in a match with no countouts or disqualifications. For the men, Dominik Mysterio will defend the intercontinental championship against AJ Styles and Solo Sikoa will step into a steel cage to defend his United States championship against Jacob Fatu. Also, a wild match is expected when the Wyatt Sicks defend their WWE tag team championship in a six-team TLC match.
WWE SummerSlam will be presented live on Sunday from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. It is set to begin at 6 p.m. ET with a countdown show starting three hours earlier at 3 p.m. on Peacock.
