Red Sox lineup: Friday’s hero batting third, Romy Gonzalez leading off

BOSTON — With the Red Sox facing a left-handed starter Saturday, manager Alex Cora has Roman Anthony batting third and lefty masher Romy Gonzalez leading off.

Boston and Houston will play the second game of their two-game series Saturday at 4:10 p.m. here at Fenway Park. Righty Walker Buehler (6-6, 5.72 ERA) is scheduled to start for the Sox opposite lefty Colton Gordon (4-3, 4.74 ERA).

Anthony was the hero Friday, delivering his first career walkoff RBI in Boston’s 2-1 win in 10 innings. He will play right field and Wilyer Abreu will begin the game on the bench.

Anthony had batted leadoff in five straight games.

Gonzalez is at second base. Masataka Yoshida is on the bench. Abraham Toro is at first base.
