NEW YORK — The Yankees addressed one of their biggest weaknesses on Friday afternoon, acquiring Ryan McMahon from the Rockies to play third base.

McMahon isn’t the perfect solution at the hot corner. He strikes out too much (leading the National League with 127 this season), his swing-and-miss tendencies are a red flag and his numbers away from hitter-friendly Coors Field aren’t particularly impressive.
