Resident Alien fans are reeling after learning that the beloved Syfy series will end after Season 4. The latest season is currently airing new episodes on Fridays, and after this week, there will be just two more to go, with the series finale slated for August 8.

This end comes despite a resurgence in popularity after the first three seasons hit Netflix. While fans are understandably sad about the cancellation, creator Chris Sheridan shared with TV Insider, “I knew going into it that this was likely going to be our final season.”

After the cancellation news came out and the cast did a Friday morning panel at San Diego Comic Con, series star Alan Tudyk shared a message with fans about how they can win a piece of his character, Harry Vanderspeigle.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, July 25, from behind a ring light that makes him look “20 years younger,” Tudyk talked about how he kept all the prosthetic head pieces from playing the role of Harry just in case he could auction them off at some point.

He said each headpiece was worn once. There are 20 prosthetic heads listed, and Tudyk specified that they come from Seasons 2 and 3. They will be auctioned off “for a good cause,” giving his fans a chance to own a piece of his character.

The auction is live, and the prosthetics will be shipped to the winners in mid-August. The description of the auction says proceeds will go to “The Welman Project, a Fort Worth–based nonprofit that transforms surplus materials into creative tools for teachers and students — a meaningful way to support arts programming, in the same state that brought you Alan Tudyk.”
