Finding an engagement ring for a jewelry designer comes with a lot of pressure — just ask musician Zac Brown.
Brown, 46, opened up to Today on Friday, July 25, about searching for the perfect ring while planning a proposal to Kendra Scott.
“What are you gonna get somebody that designs jewelry?” the singer quipped. Brown ended up picking out a massive pink diamond for Scott, set on a silver band.
“But it’s incredible. We’re so happy we found each other and we’re blessed,” he said of their engagement. “It just adds so much energy to everything else. More to give to music, more to give to our families and everything, so we’re blessed.”

Brown also opened up to Us Weekly about his relationship milestone, gushing, “Finding someone I’m so like-minded with and share and align in such a way, it’s such an incredible thing.” He added, “It’s totally different than anything I’ve ever had before.”
Brown popped the question to Scott on Thursday, July 24, after publicly debuting their relationship in May at the American Music Awards.
For their red carpet debut, Scott looked sleek in a silver Maria Lucia Hohan dress featuring a one-shoulder strap, a sweetheart neckline and a small cutout over her bodice. The rest of the number was complete with a flowy pleated skirt.
The designer teamed her frock with coordinating chrome strappy heels and silver jewelry, including stacked bracelets and dangling earrings.

For glam, Scott donned a full beat, including blushed and contoured cheeks, pink lips, long lashes and filled-in eyebrows. Her brunette strands were parted down the middle and styled in loose curls.
Brown, for his part, looked sharp in a black blazer, a dark dress shirt — which he wore partially unbuttoned — and matching pants. He accessorized with crocodile print boots and a black top hat.
