Congrats are in order for jewelry designer Kendra Scott and country-music singer Zac Brown, who just got engaged. Did you ever think you’d see those two names in the same sentence? They announced the big news Thursday via an exclusive with People, as one does. In post-proposal photos, the couple posed on a dock at sunset as Scott showed off an enormous pink diamond on her finger. “We are so happy and grateful that we found each other,” they told the magazine in a joint statement.
Scott and Brown may seem like a pretty unexpected couple, but it sounds like things are going great for them. It’s not clear exactly when they first linked up, but it seems safe to assume they started dating at some point after Brown split up with his wife of four months, Kelly Yazdi, at the end of 2023. A source told People they had fallen “totally in love” after being “set up by a mutual friend.” “They are head over heels and have become inseparable,” the source said. In May, they made their first public appearance together at the American Music Awards.
Since then, the two have been traveling and having a lot of fun together. According to Scott’s Instagram, they’ve gone fishing, pottery shopping, and hiking with Scott’s dog, Gracie. And of course, they’ve taken a lot of selfies along the way.
