Wimbledon 2025 LIVE: Djokovic vs Sinner semi-final – scores, TV stream & updates
- Sinner 6-3 1-0 Djokovic*
- Jannik Sinner is playing “lights out” tennis at the moment. He flies into a 0-30 lead and although there’s a brief response from Novak Djokovic, Sinner slams a backhand down the line for a break point.
- Sinner 6-3 1-0 Djokovic*
- A new set, but it’s same old Jannik Sinner – a dominant hold of serve to start the second.
- *Sinner 6-3 0-0 Djokovic
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion
- Djokovic is feeling a pressure to do something he doesn’t normally have to do which is take more risks. With Sinner it’s a different story. He’s (Djokovic) seeing a mirror image of himself from the past.
- *Sinner 6-3 0-0 Djokovic
Jess Anderson
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Wow. Jannik Sinner just ridiculously good in that opening set.

- *Sinner 6-3 0-0 Djokovic
- A gutsy second serve from Novak Djokovic finds the line but Jannik Sinner gets it back deep and Djokovic goes long with a backhand.
- A tremendous opening set from Sinner – two breaks of serve and it’s first blood to the world number one.
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
- Now Novak Djokovic misses a forehand and it’s set point number three for Jannik Sinner.
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
- A couple more deuces on Novak Djokovic’s serve.
- The 38-year-old earns a couple of game points but can’t get it done quite yet.
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One
- Djokovic had a very sluggish start against De Minaur and this hasn’t been one of his better sets either but this has a lot to do with what Sinner is bringing to the court right now.
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
- First one saved by Novak Djokovic with an ace, Jannik Sinner gets a look at a second serve next up but nets a backhand.
- Deuce.
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
- Exceptional movement from Jannik Sinner and he’ll get two chances to win the set on his opponent’s serve…
- Sinner 5-3 Djokovic*
- We’ve already spotted Leonardo di Caprio and Bjorn Borg among the crowd at Wimbledon today. The TV cameras now pick up former India batter Sachin Tendulkar, who is watching the action on Centre Court.
- He was at Lord’s yesterday, ringing the five-minute bell for the start of play between England and India in the third Test. An enjoyable couple of sporting days for the “Little Master”, who is the leading run-scorer in Test cricket.
- Tendulkar is among the thousands watching Jannik Sinner continue his dominance on serve so far – just two of 18 points lost on his serve in this match.

- *Sinner 4-3 Djokovic
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One
- The art of the slide was something you didn’t see a lot before Novak but now you’re watching a carbon copy in Sinner, who has learned from the master.
- *Sinner 4-3 Djokovic
- I referenced Jannik Sinner’s recent Grand Slam record in an earlier post… as for Novak Djokovic, the most recent year in which he did not appear in the Wimbledon final was in 2017 (that’s excluding 2020 when the Covid pandemic meant there was no tournament). Ridiculous.
- His only defeats at SW19 since then have been the past two finals against Carlos Alcaraz.
- Sinner puts pressure on his latest service game, getting to 30-30, but two unforced errors from Sinner confirm the hold.
De la Puente 0-6 5-7 Hewett
- That is more like it, Alfie Hewett!
- The second seed goes up a level to get himself to 40-0. He still can’t quite see it out easily as he double faults on match point again.
- But no trouble at the next chance as he seals it with an ace and blows a kiss to his supporters in celebration.
- It is the Brit’s fourth consecutive final at SW19 and he will have the chance to defend his title against top seed Tokito Oda on Sunday.
- Sinner 4-2 Djokovic*

- Since the start of 2024, Jannik Sinner has played in seven Grand Slam events and this is the sixth time he has got to at least the semi-final stage.
- The only time he didn’t was at last year’s Wimbledon, when he lost in the last eight.
- The Italian has won three times – twice at the Australian Open and once at the US Open – and lost an epic French Open final to Carlos Alcaraz a few weeks ago.
- A hold to love for Sinner takes him 4-2 up inside 18 minutes.
- *Sinner 3-2 Djokovic
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One
- Sinner so far is undeterred about the prospect of dealing with someone that he’s looked up to and someone that he’s yet to beat on the grass.
- *Sinner 3-2 Djokovic
- Not much time wasted by Novak Djokovic to hold serve there.
- Sinner 3-1 Djokovic*
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One
- Sinner’s come out firing early. He’s got himself fitter. He’s worked hard on that slide, in and out of corners. He’s absolutely fantastic now. His skills around the net have improved.
- He wants to prove he can win this (Wimbledon) and he’s done a pretty good job so far.
- Sinner 3-1 Djokovic*
- It’s not often you see Novak Djokovic in a cap but, facing into the sun for this return game, he has one atop his head.
- Jannik Sinner eases his way to 40-0 but a misjudged backhand and a double fault give Djokovic some hope.
- But Djokovic’s return at 40-30 is long and Sinner backs up that break.
- De la Puente 0-6 5-6 Hewett*
- Closing out a match is never easy, never mind a semi-final at your home Grand Slam.
- A shanked double-fault comes at the wrong time for Alfie Hewett as he gives up the break when serving for the match.
- A loose game from Martin de la Puente, however, gives the break straight back and the defending champion will have a second chance to see this out on his own serve.

- *Sinner 2-1 Djokovic
Jess Anderson
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Similarities have often been drawn between these two.
- Both of them have incredible movement around the court but, of course, Jannik Sinner is 15 years Novak Djokovic’s junior. I wonder if it feels like Djokovic is playing against himself at times.
- Djokovic thought he had the better of the top seed with that drop shot at 15-30 but it was so well chased down by Sinner and the lob so well executed to bring up break points.
- *Sinner 2-1 Djokovic
- The world number one strikes first.
- Moments of real quality in that game from Jannik Sinner, not least at 15-30, when he showed outstanding defence to stay in the point and a super lob over Novak Djokovic at the net that sealed the point.
- Sinner 1-1 Djokovic*
- Jannik Sinner takes the first point against the serve in the match with a forehand winner down the line.
- Novak Djokovic’s movement doesn’t appear to be hampered too much, if at all, by the injury that many were concerned about before play.
- Sinner is making him do plenty of running and there’s no shortage of quality too to bring up two break points.
- De la Puente 0-6 4-5 Hewett*
- You have to say well done to Martin de la Puente.
- He could have fallen away quickly after losing the opening set 6-0, but the third seed has shown why he is one of the top players in the world as he pushes Alfie Hewett in every game in this second set.
- It is the serve-it-out question for Hewett, can the defending champion get himself back to the final?
- Sinner 1-1 Djokovic*
John McEnroe
- Three-time Wimbledon singles champion on BBC One
- You see how important it is for both guys to serve big. If you can get looks at second serves, it can be a completely different story. You’re much more able to attack.
- Sinner 1-1 Djokovic*
Jess Anderson
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Still half empty on Centre Court in the early stages of this match.
- Lots of people will have gone for refreshments and to seek some shade between matches.
- I imagine plenty will filter back in at the next change of ends.
- Sinner 1-1 Djokovic*
- Anything you can do, I can… do exactly the same.
- Doesn’t have quite the same ring to it as the song, but it’s a truthful statement as Jannik Sinner gets through his first service game without losing a point.
- *Sinner 0-1 Djokovic
- The perfect start for Novak Djokovic – a hold to love.
- Centre Court is less than half full for the start of this one.
- Sinner 0-0 Djokovic*
- Who will Carlos Alcaraz be facing in Sunday’s Wimbledon final? Let’s find out.
- Sinner v Djokovic
Tim Henman
- Former British number one on BBC One
- When we reflect on the head-to-head and grass-court tennis, that’s where Djokovic has the advantage. In terms of ball-striking, power and precision, I give that to Sinner.
- It’s going to be another very close match and will boil down to the important points. If you’re going to ask me for a prediction, I’d go for Jannik Sinner.
- Sinner v Djokovic
Jess Anderson
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Jannik Sinner still has that strapping to his elbow.
- He said he would be “100%” to face Novak Djokovic today so could just be a precaution.
- We’ll see.
- No visible strapping or anything like that for Djokovic.
- De la Puente 0-6 3-4 Hewett
- Not what Martin de la Puente needs when he is trying to get back on level terms with Alfie Hewett in this match.
- Great Britain’s Hewett gets the hold of his own serve but there then appears to be an issue with the Spaniard’s chair.
- He has to get some running repairs to the wheel at the back before he can continue.
- It doesn’t seem to have impacted De la Puente’s concentration, though, as he holds his serve and fist pumps to celebrate.
- Still just the one break in it.
- Sinner v Djokovic
- Today at Wimbledon presenter Qasa Alom takes a look at how Jannik Sinner’s improvement in recent years stemmed in part from a loss to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon three years ago.

Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- I think if Novak has a chance to beat Jannik now, it’s on grass and on this court.
- The problem is the past four meetings have gone to Sinner and the last one was very recent at Roland Garros. But on that occasion, Novak had a few chances.
- I still give Sinner a slight edge but I think Djokovic has a massive chance to put out the upset here today on this court.
- Sinner v Djokovic
Annabel Croft
- Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live
- The head-to-head is interesting. Sinner leads 5-4, Djokovic has beaten Sinner twice here at Wimbledon so he’s won the grass-court matches, but Sinner has won their last four encounters.
- You’d have to think Sinner will come through that one but you can never write off a great champion like Djokovic.
- Sinner v Djokovic
- As the players make that walk from the locker room to Centre Court, let’s hear what a couple of our BBC pundits think about how this second semi-final will pan out…
- Sinner v Djokovic
Tracy Austin
- Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two
- For a few matches now, we’ve seen Novak pull back and try to loosen up the chest area. I saw him do yoga during one match, and then the biggest worry was that slip on match point in his last match because it was a nasty slip.
- As he said, everybody falls on grass. But at 38, the body doesn’t heal as quickly and it’s more rigid.
- He didn’t practise yesterday and I think that was a good idea.
- Sinner v Djokovic
John Lloyd
- Former GB Davis Cup captain on BBC Two
- At this stage of the tournament, everybody’s got something [that’s hurting] and there are always a few little niggles. The question with Novak is how bad his is.
- If it’s bad where he’s really worried about it, he’s in big trouble going against Jannik Sinner, but hopefully he’ll be OK.
- Sinner v Djokovic
- Jannik Sinner was somewhat fortunate to make it through to the quarter-finals, having trailed Grigor Dimitrov by two sets before the Bulgarian had to retire injured.
- But the Italian made the most of his second chance was back on form against Ben Shelton to get through to today’s semis.
- Media caption,
- Sinner sees off Shelton in straight sets to seal semi-final berth
- De la Puente 0-6 2-3 Hewett*
- Martin de la Puente has definitely upped his level in this second set.
- The Spaniard puts the pressure on Alfie Hewett’s serve but the defending champion manages to get the hold to 30 and back up the break.
- Third seed De la Puente then shows his mettle to hold his own serve and keep it at just one break in this second set.
Page 3
- Sinner v Djokovic
- Novak Djokovic lost the first set of his quarter-final to Flavio Cobolli but recovered to win in four – although a late slip on the grass has led to more concerns about his fitness heading into today’s semi-final.

- Djokovic overcomes injury scare to wrap up victory over Cobolli
- Sinner v Djokovic
- We don’t have much time to recover from that win for Carlos Alcaraz – Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic will be on Centre Court in about 10 minutes’ time.

- More from Carlos Alcaraz, who has now won 24 matches in a row:
- “I’m not thinking about the winning streak or the results at all. This is my dream – stepping on these beautiful courts and playing tennis in the most beautiful tournaments in the world. That’s all I try to think at every tournament and why I try to bring the joy to the courts.”
- On trying to complete a hat-trick of Wimbledon wins:
- “Right now I don’t want to think about Sunday. I just want to enjoy this moment and that I’ve got to a third final in a row. I will have to time think about Sunday, I’m going to watch the other semi-final as well and let’s see.”
- On the Djokovic-Sinner semi-final:
- “This is one of the most exciting matches we have on tour right now. As a huge fan of tennis, I’ll try to watch as much as I can.”
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-7 (6-8) Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz, speaking on court after reaching the Wimbledon final with a four-set win over Taylor Fritz on Centre Court:
- “It was a really difficult match as always when I have to play against Taylor. Even tougher with the conditions, it was really hot today.
- “I’m just really happy with everything that I’ve done today. I dealt with the nerves – playing here in a semi-final is not easy.
- “I’m really proud with the way I stayed calm and thought clearly. I’m pleased about my level today.”
- De la Puente 0-6 1-2 Hewett*
- Ooo, a little misjudgement there from Alfie Hewett.
- The second seed expected a forehand to go long from Martin de la Puente, but it catches the back of the baseline and brings up break point.
- Hewett saves the first, but a wayward shot from the defending champion hands De la Puente the break and his first game of the match.
- Defending champion Hewett puts the pressure straight back on the Spaniard taking him to deuce and break point.
- The third seed saves the first, but he can’t do the same with the second and Hewett gets the break straight back.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-7 (6-8) Alcaraz
Andre Agassi

- Taylor – well done. You’re paving the way for every American to believe they should and can expect more from themselves.
- You’re a hell of a competitor, you deserve every bit of this and you’re going to get yourt chances so please stay with it. Keep making good decisions and I can’t wait to watch more of you.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-7 (6-8) Alcaraz
Andrew Castle

- The defence of Wimbledon goes on for this wonderful 22-year-old Carlos Alcaraz.
- A great tournament for Taylor Fritz, a great match.
- I don’t know what you’re doing at 4pm on Sunday but you should watch the men’s singles final because Carlos Alcaraz is going to be in it.
- You just can’t take your eyes off this kid, he’s doing new things with a tennis ball and thrilling a new audience.

- Carlos Alcaraz has done it.
- From the brink of a fifth set, to sealing a third straight Wimbledon final.
- Carlos Alcaraz won four points in a row there to completely turn the tie-break – and the match – on its head.
- What a player.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (6-7) Alcaraz
- How has he done that? Seriously?

Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- In a two-horse race, you never know what you’re going to get.
- When you get something special, it’s a privilege.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (6-6) Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz saves a second set point and Taylor Fritz will be kicking himself.
- A slow return gave the American the perfect opportunity to hit a forehand winner but he hit it conservatively, before hitting long.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (6-5) Alcaraz*
- Deary me.
- Carlos Alcaraz saves one set point but Taylor Fritz still has another.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (5-4) Alcaraz
Tim Henman
- Former British number one on BBC One
- Changing direction over the high part of the net, beautifully struck and not even the speed of Alcaraz could hunt that one down.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (5-4) Alcaraz
- Smashing stuff from Taylor Fritz, who wins both points on Carlos Alcaraz’s serve.
- If he can hold his two serves, we’ll have a fifth set.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (4-4) Alcaraz*
- Three straight points for Taylor Fritz, this latest one on Carlos Alcaraz’s serve.
- A brilliant backhand down the line that the Spaniard can’t return.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (3-4) Alcaraz*
- Big two points for Taylor Fritz.
- De la Puente 0-6 0-1 Hewett*
- Another game, another break for Alfie Hewett.
- This is ruthless from the defending champion.
- Third seed Martin de la Puente just does not know what to do here to get himself into this match.
- It’s not that the Spaniard is playing badly, but Hewett is just playing that well.
- Starting to feel like when, not if, the Brit will be back in the men’s wheelchair singles final here at SW19.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (1-4) Alcaraz

- An astonishingly deft volley at the net gives Carlos Alcaraz a three-point lead.
- Taylor Fritz needs two big serves.
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Carlos Alcaraz is working the crowd, raising his fist in the air and shaking it with the noise going up a level as a result. He’s drawing on their support here.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (1-2) Alcaraz*
- Carlos Alcaraz wins one of the two points on Taylor Fritz’s serve and then puts an arm up to the crowd like a gladiator.

- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 (0-1) Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz takes the first point on his second serve.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 6-6 Alcaraz*
- With Taylor Fritz 40-0 up, Carlos Alcaraz wins the next two points with two stunning clipped shots.
- But the American hammers an ace when he needed it most to take the hold.
- We’ll need a tie-break to separate these two.
- *De la Puente 0-6 Hewett
- That was quick.
- Alfie Hewett is toying with Martin de la Puente.
- The defending champion needs little time to race to 40-0, covering the court well, but the Spaniard still has some fight in him as he claws it back to 40-30.
- Not to worry for Hewett, though, getting up quick to De la Puente’s drop shot and putting the ball into the open court to take the first set with a bagel.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 5-6 Alcaraz
- Deary me, this set has really gone up a notch in terms of quality during these last few games.
- Carlos Alcaraz holds to 15, sealing the hold on his second serve with an ace.
- What a player.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 5-5 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- What’s so awesome about this game – we might be a minute and a half away from this match being over with, or we could be another hour and 15 minutes away. You have to get past the finish line.
- If you’re Alcaraz, you feel the energy pulling you across the line and then you feel the resistance.
- If you’re Fritz, you have the hope.
- It makes this battle epic.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 5-5 Alcaraz*
- That was excellent from Taylor Fritz.
- His serving, as is to be expected, was strong but he showed some excellent groundstrokes there too.
- De la Puente 0-5 Hewett*
- Alfie Hewett really has some superb touch around the court.
- The second seed and defending champion once again gets himself a comfortable hold with a lovely drop shot followed by an ace to seal it.
- Third seed Martin de la Puente is feeling the pressure as Great Britain’s Hewett gets to 15-30 on the Spaniard’s serve.
- An excellent backhand return down the line brings up yet another opportunity to break and the Brit takes it with his next return.
- Hewett has a triple break and is racing towards this opening set.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 4-5 Alcaraz
Andrew Castle
- BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One
- It’s been a great and stubborn effort all the way through this tournament for Taylor Fritz, he arrives tired from having won Eastbourne and winning in Germany before that.
- It’s been a really tremendous contribution from Taylor Fritz here, he hasn’t looked like being the winner in this match for the entire time it’s been going on – but he’s hanging about and trying.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 4-5 Alcaraz*
- Has there ever been a better player on volleys than Carlos Alcaraz?
- He goes to 30-0 by completely shifting his body weight and softly volleying a deft shot back over the net, which Taylor Fritz can’t get to on sprint.
- The Spaniard secures the hold to love – again.
- Fritz will come out to serve next to stay in this match.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 4-4 Alcaraz*
- Some huge serving from Taylor Fritz there, just when he needed it most.
- The American holds to 15, without giving Carlos Alcaraz much of a look of a break opportunity.
- De la Puente 0-3 Hewett*
- It is hot off the court and it is hot on the court for Alfie Hewett.
- The defending champion is off to a flier in this semi-final with Spain’s Martin de la Puente as he holds his serve comfortably before putting more pressure on the third seed.
- Hewett can’t take the first two break-point opportunities, but a superb forehand return brings up another and a volley at the net secures the double-break.

- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 3-4 Alcaraz
- Straightforward hold for Carlos Alcaraz.
- He puts Taylor Fritz back on serve. Can he put the American under the pressure needed to earn a break?
- Let’s see.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 3-3 Alcaraz*
- Excellent stuff from Taylor Fritz.
- The American saves a break point, which he gifted to Carlos Alcaraz after firing a simple forehand long.
- But the fifth seed takes the next two points on deuce for the hold.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz
- Taylor Fritz saves it.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz
- Huge opportunity for Carlos Alcaraz.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- That’s a beautiful expression of how much feel he has on his racquet. There was never a doubt that he was going to make that ball.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 2-3 Alcaraz
- That’s a frustrating one for Taylor Fritz.
- The American gets to 15-30 and sniffs the opportunity to break.
- But Carlos Alcaraz produces two body serves to win consecutive points and he earns the point with his trademark fake drop shot winner.
- De la Puente 0-1 Hewett*
- Defending champion Alfie Hewett is under way in his men’s wheelchair singles semi-final with Spain’s Martin de la Puente.
- It is the ideal start for the Briton as he manages to break the third seed in the opening game.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 2-2 Alcaraz*
- Seriously impressive from Taylor Fritz.
- The American fires off *four* aces in a row in devastating fashion to secure the hold in the blink of an eye.
- Much better from the fifth seed.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 1-2 Alcaraz
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- When you get to this stage of a match, serving first is clearly an advantage. You always feel like you’re a sprint away from the finish.
Page 5
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 1-2 Alcaraz
- Not a lot of tennis to report on in that game or indeed the set so far.
- These two are proving very dominant on serve and giving little up in terms of break opportunities.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 1-1 Alcaraz*
- That will give Taylor Fritz a bit of confidence.
- The American holds in a flash, putting Carlos Alcaraz back on serve almost immediately.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 0-1 Alcaraz
- Missed opportunity for Taylor Fritz.
- The American goes 0-30 up – and you can sense he’s hoping that Carlos Alcaraz’s focus had dropped from winning the third set.
- But no such luck.
- The Spaniard takes the next four points to take the hold.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 Alcaraz*
Andrew Castle
- BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One
- I hope he plays with this joy always, Alcaraz.
- It just transmits to everyone watching. He is just having a great time, obviously.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 Alcaraz*
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Taylor Fritz’s body language has shifted significantly, and who can blame him? He barely had time to celebrate his battling second-set display before Carlos Alcaraz stepped it up another gear.
- Just a high-quality response by Alcaraz to a high-pressure moment.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 Alcaraz*
Tim Henman
- Former British number one on BBC One
- Fritz can still turn this fourth set in his favour.
- But, when Alcaraz got off to the fast start and an early break, he has just looked so comfortable and confident with his game.
- Disappointment for Great Britain’s Mimi Xu, who has lost in three sets in her girls’ singles semi-final against American Julieta Pareja.
- Sixth seed Pareja won the decider 6-4 to progress to the final.
- British interest continues in the men’s wheelchair singles, though, with Alfie Hewett set to get his semi-final under way on Court One against Spanish third seed Martin de la Puente.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-6 Alcaraz*
- Carlos Alcaraz secures the third set by breaking Taylor Fritz for a third time in the match.
- The Spaniard earns two set points and lets the first one pass him by.
- But after a solid return on Fritz’s serve, the American hits a forehand long to gift Alcaraz the game.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-5 Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz drops the first point on his serve this set by double faulting.
- But the Spaniard’s dominance on serve continues thereafter, with four points in a row to secure the hold.
- Taylor Fritz will serve next to stay in the set.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 3-4 Alcaraz*
- There wasn’t a lot of tennis during that game, with Taylor Fritz proving very dominant on his serve again.
- The American only drops the single point – which was a double fault – to keep Carlos Alcaraz within touching distance.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 2-4 Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz holds to love again.
- He hasn’t lost a single point on serve during this third set.
- Talk about locking in.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 2-3 Alcaraz*
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- The weather being extremely hot makes the conditions faster, the balls are travelling faster through the court.
- You have to feel for Fritz because he tried so hard in the second set, got himself going and he just dropped for three or four minutes? Out of that, he’s a break down and you have a feeling this set is going to be difficult to turn around.
- The body language from Alcaraz is better, he is full of energy again and bringing the flair.

- Fritz 4-6 7-5 2-3 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- You are living on the edge.
- What people don’t know is that living on the edge in tennis exponentially will eventually work against you.
- It’s what your average can do, not what your highlights can do.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 2-3 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz gets the hold. My word, he needed that.
- The big-serving American does exactly that, with a couple of 130mph+ serves, giving Carlos Alcaraz little chance on the return.
- The Spaniard remains a break up.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-3 Alcaraz
- 13 points in a row for Carlos Alcaraz.
- The Spaniard very quickly puts the pressure back on Taylor Fritz.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-2 Alcaraz*
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- What a way to seal the break by Carlos Alcaraz, drawing his opponent into the net then lobbing him. He’s been under big pressure in the last few games but has ridden through it to get his nose in front once more.
- It felt like the momentum was with Taylor Fritz but Alcaraz has stopped that in its tracks.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-2 Alcaraz*
Annabel Croft
- Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live
- Isn’t this incredible? After such a terrific second set and playing at such a high level, Fritz is really fuming to so quickly be handing the initiative back to Alcaraz early in the third set.
- That’s the thing about great champions – they can keep bringing that level and keep asking the questions.
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-2 Alcaraz*
- Deary me, Carlos Alcaraz. That is special.
- The Spaniard gets his second break of the match and this one comes with Taylor Fritz playing his best tennis of the match.
- The defending champion wins all four points without response, ending the game with a deft drop shot that Fritz retrieves, only for Alcaraz to send him running on the lob.

- Incredible.
- This is quality serving from Taylor, but Alcaraz has just responded here to the challenge of having lost the set.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-1 Alcaraz
- Well, that’s some response from Carlos Alcaraz.
- His focus and intensity levels definitely dropped during that second set.
- But encouraging signs there that he’s back on it, with the Spaniard holding to love.
Page 6
- Fritz 4-6 7-5 1-0 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz takes the early lead in the third set by holding to love on his service game.
- The American started off there like he finished off in the second.
- The fifth seed finishes off the hold with an brilliant ace down the line.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 0-0 Alcaraz
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Surprised ‘oohs’ from the crowd after Carlos Alcaraz double-faulted and that was followed by a big cheer as Taylor Fritz sealed the break to take the second set, as they know we have a match on here now.
- Alcaraz was on another level in the first set but Fritz stepped it up in the second, upped the scoreboard pressure and now it is all square.
- If Alcaraz is going to have a chance of winning a third Wimbledon title in a row, he’s now going to have to really work for the opportunity.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 0-0 Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz stands alone at the back of the court, with Taylor Fritz taking a short break.
- May be the only shaded area on Centre Court actually, so it’s quite a smart play.
- Fritz is back now and we’ll soon be getting the third set under way.

- Over the Wimbledon fortnight, Adam Jones turns into a tennis impersonator.
- Each day the 27-year-old Briton is asked by the world’s leading players to mimic the style of their next opponent on the All England Club practice courts.
- This morning, he was Taylor Fritz.
- As a Wimbledon hitting partner, Jones has been the go-to guy for Carlos Alcaraz this year and warmed the Spaniard up for this semi-final.

Annabel Croft

- I didn’t see that coming at all. I always felt Carlos was in control but serving first made a real difference for Fritz in that set.
- As you get towards the back end of the set, the pressure is enormous on the player serving.
- Hats off to Fritz, he really earned that set. I think we’re in for a real tussle now.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 0-0 Alcaraz
Tim Henman
- Former British number one on BBC One
- That was what we talked about. Building scoreboard pressure, getting your nose in front and dealing with your own tennis.
- The intensity dropped from Alcaraz. All of a sudden it is game on and one set all.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 0-0 Alcaraz
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- Carlos Alcaraz has been feeling this pressure for 30 or 40 minutes now and it’s shown for the first time.
- *Fritz 4-6 7-5 0-0 Alcaraz
- All square!
- Taylor Fritz has been a little bit better on his return games but I certainly did not see him breaking to love to win the set!
- Two unforced errors and a double fault in that game from Carlos Alcaraz, whose level has dropped for a couple of games at just the wrong time.

- Fritz 4-6 6-5 Alcaraz*
- Double fault from Carlos Alcaraz!
- Three set points for Taylor Fritz to level the match…
- Fritz 4-6 6-5 Alcaraz*
- For a second time, Carlos Alcaraz is serving to stay in the set.
- Another unforced error on the backhand side, followed by a cross-court forehand winner, and Taylor Fritz has 0-30.
- Potentially a pivotal moment in this semi-final…
- Fritz 4-6 6-5 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- He let Fritz off the hook there with three backhand return misses.
- These next three points are massive. You don’t want to find yourself down on serve when you are serving to stay in the set.
- Fritz 4-6 6-5 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz will have at least a tie-break in the second set. Carlos Alcaraz threw in a few errors in that game.
- *Fritz 4-6 5-5 Alcaraz
Annabel Croft
- Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live
- It’s like being suffocated. Fritz just can’t get away from what’s coming at him. The pressure and the level of what Alcaraz is putting on him is overwhelming so Fritz just can’t afford unforced errors.
- *Fritz 4-6 5-5 Alcaraz
- So, Carlos Alcaraz has to hold serve to keep this second set going.
- Taylor Fritz crafts a wonderful point and volleys a winner to get himself a foothold at 15-15.
- Then Alcaraz nets a forehand. Fritz two points away…
- But the champ recovers again from a dangerous position on serve, wrapping it up with an ace.
- Fritz 4-6 5-4 Alcaraz*
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- If Fritz can get the second set and get under the skin of Carlos, he has a chance. Two sets down? No. But at one-set all he has a much higher chance of coming out as the winner.
- Fritz 4-6 5-4 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- It’s like Alcaraz has the touch of Federer, the court coverage of Novak and the RPMs of Nadal.
- It’s no wonder he is a little erratic sometimes.
- Fritz 4-6 5-4 Alcaraz*
- Ah, wonderful from Taylor Fritz.
- Carlos Alcaraz must think he’s hit a winner to move to 30-30, but Fritz uses his massive wingspan to send a backhand down the line for a winner.
- Is that Leonardo di Caprio in the crowd on Centre Court? I’m sure he’s enjoying this titanic battle…
- I’ll get my coat.
- *Fritz 4-6 4-4 Alcaraz
Annabel Croft
- Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live
- In Fritz’s mind, he’s just got to keep trying to find that breakthrough. He’s putting himself in positions of ‘nearly there’ but Alcaraz just has so many options. Alcaraz’s team are a little tense at him saving that break point but he’s serving so well.
- *Fritz 4-6 4-4 Alcaraz
Andrew Castle
- BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One
- That is an intense game and an intense hold from Alcaraz.

- *Fritz 4-6 4-4 Alcaraz
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- The first big pressure moment for Carlos Alcaraz in this match and he comes through it with flying colours. He shouted and threw a fist in the air at his team as Taylor Fritz puts a shot long to confirm the hold, but he knew he had to really dig in there to get that.
Page 7
- *Fritz 4-6 4-4 Alcaraz
- A massive roar from Carlos Alcaraz, the first real expression of emotion from the defending champion, as he recovers from that break point to hold serve.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
- Great body serve, break point saved.
- Deuce.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
- A REAL chance now for Taylor Fritz.
- Carlos Alcaraz gets the first passing shot back but the second sails past him.
- First break point of the set…
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- I am in shade in the press seats but it still feels very, very hot. It is clearly very tough conditions for those who have been sat with the sun shining down on them.
- Carlos Alcaraz keeps checking up into the crowd to make sure the spectator is OK before preparing to serve again.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
- We get to 30-30 in the game when another spectator is need of some medical attention.
- The first few rows around Centre Court are right in the sunshine at the moment.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- As players we train for this [heat]. They [spectators] are sitting in the baking sun and as players we worry about them.
- Let’s hope they are OK.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz wins the first point of Carlos Alcaraz’s service game before there’s a halt to play – it appears a spectator is struggling in the heat a little bit on Centre Court.
- The delay is not too long though, and Alcaraz serves at 0-15 down.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
Andrew Castle
- BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One
- It is a better start than the first set for Fritz.
- His percentage on serve is better, he hasn’t lost a point behind his first serve.
- He has settled down.

Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Alcaraz played keepie uppie with the ball there after losing a point. I heard it said once before he gets bored during games, prompting him to try risky shots but I think he just enjoys entertaining. Both players are having to concentrate to the maximum here in a very tight second set.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
Annabel Croft
- Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live
- It doesn’t feel (close) to me. The start of the match said so much. Alcaraz came firing out of the blocks. It was an interesting moment when it got to deuce on Alcaraz’s serve but the door was slammed shut immediately.
- Can Fritz trouble Alcaraz for a sustained amount of time? I’m not sure about that, but matches can change. It’s quite incredible how matches can shift but it doesn’t feel like that for me at the moment.
- Fritz 4-6 4-3 Alcaraz*
- Carlos Alcaraz goes slightly long with a groundstroke to fall 30-15 behind, before Taylor Fritz sends down a massive serve on his way to another hold.
- No break points for either player in the second set.
- *Fritz 4-6 3-3 Alcaraz
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC One
- Alcaraz is only 6ft tall, but he covers the court like an octopus.
- *Fritz 4-6 3-3 Alcaraz
- Normal service resumed as Carlos Alcaraz comfortably holds in the last game before a set of new balls are cracked out of the cans.
- Fritz 4-6 3-2 Alcaraz*
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- What is looking healthier for Fritz is he is capable of escaping now through his service game with more ease. He’s looked pretty good on his own serve since that first service game where he was broken.
- Fritz 4-6 3-2 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz continues his positive momentum on serve – Carlos Alcaraz has won only one point on the American’s serve in the second set.
- *Fritz 4-6 2-2 Alcaraz
- False alarm.
- A second serve on game point and Taylor Fritz gets himself into a good position at the net, but Carlos Alcaraz gives him a difficult volley and the American sends it wide.

- These sets can slip away in hurry if you are not focused all the time to close out these games.
- Now this is where Taylor needs to seize his opportunity and take a chance.
- Fritz 4-6 2-1 Alcaraz*
- Now then – a couple of unforced errors from Carlos Alcaraz from 40-15 and he’s taken to deuce.
- Chance for Taylor Fritz.
- Fritz 4-6 2-1 Alcaraz*
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- I think Frtiz got broken in that first game by being shocked at Alcaraz coming that quickly at him. That’s why in big matches if you are a bit inexperienced you want to return first to give yourself three or four minutes to be nervous but unfortunately for him he was first and he was broken.

- Taylor Fritz holds serve once more against Carlos Alcaraz, who has won 34 of the 37 Tour-level matches he has played on grass during his career before today.
- Since losing to Jannik Sinner at this tournament in 2022, his only defeat on the surface came against Jack Draper at Queen’s last year.
- He’s also on a 19-match winning streak at Wimbledon.
- A ridiculous record.
- *Fritz 4-6 1-1 Alcaraz
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- It’s not a good drop shot from Alcaraz for once and that’s where you think Taylor should finish the point. Not only does he not finish it but he almost embarrasses himself trying a tweener and completely misses.
- He’s showing a bit of a lack of experience at this stage of the tournament.
- *Fritz 4-6 1-1 Alcaraz
- Carlos Alcaraz is mixing it up nicely on serve, finishing the game with another serve-and-volley.
- Another hold to love for the five-time Grand Slam winner.
- Fritz 4-6 1-0 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz holds to love in the first game of the second set.
- Talking of problem-solving, the American fifth seed won just four of 24 points on Carlos Alcaraz’s serve in set one – that’s a statistic he must somehow improve.

Andre Agassi

- Alcaraz is easy to root for, easy to watch, he is great for the game.
- But Taylor has ice in his veins.

- *Fritz 4-6 0-0 Alcaraz
Gary Rose
- BBC Sport at Wimbledon
- Quality serving by Carlos Alcaraz secures the opening set but his movement on court throughout this match so far has been something else, rapid acceleration seeing him get to points many would think are out of his reach.
- The “oohs” and “aahs” and then loud applause from the spectators show how much they are being entertained by him.
- *Fritz 4-6 0-0 Alcaraz

- I was going to tell you that Carlos Alcaraz had three set points, but I got halfway through typing that when Alcaraz took the first of them.
- That break in the opening game does the job for the defending champion.
- Every time Alcaraz got his first serve in during the first set, he won the point.
- Fritz 4-5 Alcaraz*
Marion Bartoli
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Radio 5 Live
- Honestly Fritz must feel this is going to be a very difficult match. He’s had chances. But after getting broken in that first game he just can’t get a grip on the Alcaraz serve. He’s just serving to stay in the set. It’s a really steep road. He will need Alcaraz to drop, otherwise he will get beaten.
- Fritz 4-5 Alcaraz*
Andrew Castle
- BBC Sport tennis commentator on BBC One
- You have to hit three winners sometimes to win a point from Alcaraz.
- Fritz did well to save set point there.
- Survival for Taylor Fritz. Now, can he break?
- Fritz 4-5 Alcaraz*
- Danger averted for now for Taylor Fritz, who saves a set point on his own serve before holding.
- But he must break serve now otherwise Carlos Alcaraz will be one-third of the way towards another Wimbledon final.
- The physio is on for Fritz – he cut his elbow earlier in the tournament and it’s now scabbed over, but it looks like he might have opened it up again with that dive at the net.
- *Fritz 3-5 Alcaraz

- Carlos Alcaraz slides a forehand past a diving Taylor Fritz at the net for 30-30.

- Every now and again he just does something that transforms people’s perception.
- The forehand with the amount of spin and shape on it – it’s just an incredible thing.
- Alcaraz just looks in control of his game at the moment. It is an uphill battle for Taylor Fritz so far.
- *Fritz 3-5 Alcaraz
- It won’t be in this game when Taylor Fritz breaks Carlos Alcaraz.
- As routine a hold as you’ll see, wrapped up with a serve-and-drop volley that is simply delightful.
- Fritz 3-4 Alcaraz*
Andre Agassi
- Former Wimbledon champion on BBC Two
- Is there any point that Carlos doesn’t care about?
- He looks up to his box and pumps his fist at 40-15 like he might have a chance to break.

- Fritz 3-4 Alcaraz*
- Taylor Fritz must be regretting that opening game, when he lost his serve.
- Since then he’s been pretty solid while serving and not under any massive pressure from Carlos Alcaraz.
- Now the American has to find a way to break back – and soon – to prevent himself falling a set behind.
- Sinner v Djokovic
Laura Scott
- BBC sports news correspondent at Wimbledon
- Like Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic has been out practising today. And like Sinner, he’s had an injury concern coming into their semi-final.
- The Serb fell over towards the end of his quarter-final, almost doing the splits in a very painful-looking tumble.
- He told me he’s feeling “good” and “feeling all right” when he arrived at the warm-up area.
- I’ve definitely seen Djokovic hit harder than this on the practice courts, he hasn’t been full throttle at all and hasn’t been doing much running, but it is roasting out here.

- *Fritz 2-4 Alcaraz
- Taylor Fritz gets to 30-30 on the Carlos Alcaraz serve but the Spaniard rattles off a couple of points in a row to move 4-2 in front.

- “Come on, Carlos,” is shouted from one area around Centre Court.
- “Come on, Fritz,” someone else shouts.
- “Come on, Roger,” another person quips, prompting chuckles from those around him.
- That’s the only time there’s a bit of a light relief as it is tense silence otherwise, with all eyes transfixed on this encounter.
- Fritz 2-3 Alcaraz*
- A first double fault of the match halts Taylor Fritz’s progression towards winning the game, as does something that may have flown into the eye of Carlos Alcaraz.
- He calls down the chair umpire to take a look and rubs it with a towel, before returning to his returning position.
- Fritz hammers down an ace so Alcaraz will get the chance to get it sorted now during the changeover.
- *Fritz 1-3 Alcaraz
- Taylor Fritz attacks a couple of second serves from Carlos Alcaraz and ends those points with winners, but when the Spaniard gets his first serve in there’s only been one victor so far in this game.

- It is not so much that Fritz doesn’t have a chance, he has a chance but he has to execute everything perfectly and on time.
- Doing that over the duration of a match is difficult to do.
- Sinner v Djokovic
- Melissa Sharman
- BBC Sport senior journalist

- Jannik Sinner was out practising early this morning, before his encounter with Novak Djokovic later today.
- He’s still got his right arm strapped because of the elbow injury he’s been dealing with this week but was showing no sign of it bothering him.
- He has been practising every element of his game and had to use a towel often to mop off the sweat, as it’s so hot out here.

- Alcaraz has the gift that he can do all the things he wants [outside the sport] and still play great tennis.
- He’s not so rigid that he feels he’s got to train a certain way and can’t go out. He knows how much he can get away with, he goes on holidays, plays golf between days of matches at Grand Slams – who does that?!
- When he’s on the court and hits a winner, sometimes he smiles at the crowd. It’s not arrogant, it’s just him saying ‘I liked that as much as you did’.
- Fritz v Alcaraz
Tracy Austin
- Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two
- Carlos just seems to be so happy with his life. He said he enjoys playing great tennis and playing the quarter-final at Wimbledon was a gift.
- For someone of 22 years old, under a microscope his entire life, to have that positive perspective is absolutely foundational and I think it comes from his family. He still lives at home with his family in his same bedroom.
- It seems like he’s living the dream job. So often players at the top of the game, you feel like they are so anxious all the time.
