PSG reaches the final for the FIFA Club World Cup, where they will take on Chelsea on Sunday. Dembele becomes a heavy favorite to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or award in September.
His performance against Real Madrid has led to him reaching a historic record that not many players have achieved against Los Blancos. He also broke a personal goal record of his own that demonstrates his high level with PSG.
A record Dembele made in the first ten minutes against Real Madrid involves his two goal contributions. Dembele is the first player to be involved in two goals against Real Madrid in the first nine minutes of any competitive match since the 2002/03 season.

Dembele has also reached 41 goals for PSG after joining the French club in the summer of 2023. Dembele has now scored more goals for PSG than for any other team in his career. 35 goals came from this season alone.

Just three minutes later, Antonio Rudiger made a horrific mistake that led to Ousmane Dembele scoring one of the easiest goals of his career. It was 2-0 for PSG before ten minutes, and things got worse.
PSG continued to break down the Real Madrid defense, and in the 24th minute, another Ruiz goal put Les Parisiens 3-0 up. Thibaut Courtois made three crucial saves in the first half, and Real Madrid only played 95 passes compared to PSG’s 384.
In the second half, PSG continued to create more chances, and Desire Doue scored a fourth, but it was ruled out for offside. Luka Modric came on in the 64th minute to play his final game for Real Madrid.
