NEW YORK – Sailing into the fifth inning of a scoreless Mariners-Yankees game, Tuesday night’s play was halted due to rain at 8:15 p.m.
At the time, the Mariners had runners at the corners with two out against Yanks starter Will Warren.

According to the Yankees, the game was to resume at 8:50 p.m.
Seattle starter Logan Gilbert retired the first 11 Yankees batters Tuesday before Cody Bellinger’s clean, two-out ground single to center in the home fourth.
Before the game, the Yankees placed reliever Mark Leiter Jr. (stress fracture, left leg) on the 15-day injury list and recalled right-hander Clayton Beeter.
Manager Aaron Boone also officially announced that rookie starter Cam Schlittler would make his MLB debut Wednesday night against the Mariners, with Clarke Schmidt due to undergo reconstructive elbow surgery.
