Indiana Fever President Turns Heads With Statement on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Indiana Fever became champions for the first time in the Caitlin Clark era, defeating the Minnesota Lynx 74-59 in the Commissioner’s Cup Championship on Tuesday. While it isn’t the ultimate goal of a WNBA title, it’s still a significant accomplishment worth celebrating.

Clark wasn’t on the floor as she continues to recover from a groin injury that has now kept her out of three games. Early on, it looked like it could be a long night for Indiana without the reigning Rookie of the Year. They fell behind by 13 but stormed back and never let up.
Natasha Howard had one of her best games of the 2025 WNBA season, leading the team with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four assists. After the win, Howard was named MVP, and the celebrations were on for her and the rest of the Fever, popping bottles and partying in the locker room.
On Wednesday, Fever president Kelly Krauskopf reposted the team’s post and wrote about the team on X.
“Total team win. Proud of this group. Good early season test ☑️,” Krauskopf tweeted.
Fans were quick to leave a response in the reply section.

“They did great!” One fan tweeted. “Thanks for getting Aari back! Any chance the Fever gets Messeman or Aliyah Edwards? Whoever fits best to protect the locker room.”
“Goat Kelly just get us a wing bro and we can really win this year please,” another wrote.
“Kelly the midterm has been passed the next step is the Final exam,” tweeted another.
“Good win but make some good moves to help the team,” another wrote.
“We need to see some moves!” Tweeted a fan.
“We just need to add Emma Meesseman and we’ll be top contenders,” one wrote.
