LYNCHBURG, Va. — 7-Eleven’s free Slurpee day is the perfect way to beat the heat, and folks all around Lynchburg took advantage of the opportunity for a free sweet treat.
The convenience store chain celebrates July 11 every year by offering free Slurpees to all its customers.
All you have to do is fill up your cup with the Slurpee of your choice and scan it at the checkout counter. An app is not needed to cash in on this deal.
7-Eleven Day is a hit every year, especially as the summer heat has everyone needing a cold drink.

One customer, Taylor Green, said that the treat was the best way to cool down from her cheer practice.
“It cools me down after a hot workout, and it’s almost like a sweet treat, like a reward for working out for doing such good, hard things,” Green said.
After choosing from an extensive list of flavors, customers can put their free Slurpee in an exclusive 7-Eleven cup.
For some, 7-Eleven Day is just an excuse to get out of the house for a fun treat.
“Slushies are really yummy, and it’s an excuse to go to 7-Eleven and get a slushie for free.”
Free slurpees will be offered until midnight on July 11.
